This is one of my favourite stitches and favourite style ponchos!  A mesh style using the Solomon’s Knot.  So quick to make too once you master the stitch and it makes a single skein go a long way.

I promise that this too will become one of your favourites.

I made this poncho using a hand dyed DK yarn from Vicki Brown Designs.  It is a beautiful navy superwash merino with coloured neps on it.  It is suitable for any DK weight yarn.  A suggestion to get a similar look is with two balls of this DK Tweed from knitpicks.  Or you might like to try the Yarn Collective Bloomsberry DK from love crochet.
