If you’re wanting to create a crochet fabric with a textured diamond pattern then this month’s washcloth has you covered! Texture is my all time favourite Hooked on Crochet Club theme and this washcloth is just one of the reasons why. The magic of creating a pattern from textured stitches will never get old for me.

This washcloth is perfect for Dabblers that are wanting to try out some special stitches and work their way to becoming a Stitch Master. This design uses single crochet to create the background and front post trebles worked in lower rows to create the diamonds. Relatively simple and very effective. If you’re a bit more Crochet Confident then you could test out your designer skills and use the intructions to make something other than a washcloth.
Not sure what I am talking about when I refer to Dabbler or Stitch Master? These are terms that we use inside the Hooked on Crochet Club to describe your level of Crochet Confidence. Everything we do in the Hooked on Crochet Club is designed to have you move up the stages of Crochet Confidence with more ease.
This design might look a bit intimidating, but once you get the first set of diamonds made, the rest of the pattern takes care of itself.
I’ve made this using KnitPicks Dishie, my go to yarn for washcloths. You can use any yarn but I always recommend a 100% cotton for washcloths.
