Quick and Simple Washcloth Pattern

If you’re after a quick and simple washcloth pattern, then I believe this months pattern is exactly that! I turned to my audience and to chat gpt for a name for it, and I think this one describes it perfectly – Textured Tranquility.

Designed using only basic stitches, and worked into the round, it brings tranquility to you as you make it and to whomever gets to use it afterwards! It’s worked in the round so that you can get practice at that and it is made using single crochet and double crochets (US terms). I made most of this one while watching a taewkondo event too, so it is definitely one that can be made anywhere.

If you’re after the yarn that I used, it is KnitPicks Dishie – a 100% cotton designed for washcloths and I used a 5mm hook. You can use any cotton though. If you have lots of scrap yarn leftover too, then this is perfect as scrubbies too if you only make 5 or 6 rounds.

This one is perfect for a Dabbler that can recognise their basic stitches, but is suitable for any level on the Crochet Confidence path – if you’re not sure where you sit, then my simple guide to Crochet Confidence is below.

If you’re wanting to give this washcloth a try, you can find it in my stores below. Hooked on Crochet Club members – you’ll find it in the hub!
