Washcloths are one of the perfect patterns for learning something new to crochet. They’re a good size to keep your hands busy without all of the overwhelm that comes with trying something new. And you get something useful to use afterwards, even if they’re not ‘perfect’. And the added bonus when you make one from one of my patterns is that I give you the instructions for how to adjust it if you want to make it into something else. Which means that your favourite washcloth could become a blanket, cushion cover, top, bag or anything else that you can think of!
This week I thought I would share some of my more beginner friendly washcloths for you to try. And the added bonus is that I will also give you a special discount code that you can use if you read to the end!
Cream Pie: this one uses basic stitches but you work between the stitch instead of into the stitch

Easy Peasy This one uses a basic stitch but is worked into the front and back loops only.

Mossy: This one uses the moss stitch to create the design.

I didn’t seem to name this one, but it is all basic stitches and just uses colour changes to create a fun border.

This is one of my Sunshine patterns and also only uses basic stitches.

This last one only uses basic stitches too! Treble Grid.

This is just a fraction of the patterns that I have available in my online store, but one thing they all have in common is that they only use the basic stitches. Every single one of these comes with a full written pattern and picture guide and you can reach out to me directly for help on them at any time too. If you want to venture out and play with more than the basic stitches then you’ll definitely find some designs in my store that will test you.
Now I promised you a discount code if you got this far! This will work if you add 3 or more washcloths to your cart and will give you 40% off. Here is your code: WASHCLOTH
Enjoy!
