If you’ve stumbled across this post then I’m guessing that you’ve decided to start learning to crochet and you’re wondering what tools you need. To some it might seem obvious – a hook and some yarn! But once you start the process of buying these things it can become very overwhelming. Some seasoned crocheters forget how tricky it can be to figure out what you need as we’re used to choosing. But when you’re new it can be quite difficult to get the right tools.
So let me help you!
If you’ve started to look then you’ll know that there are a huge range of hooks and yarns to buy. And they come in so many different sizes and styles that it is easier to just give up than commit to buying and then find out you chose wrong. Below I have copied in some of the pages from my Free Crochet Beginners guide. This guide shares not only the tools, but the steps you should take to learning the stitches too. Click on any of the images or scroll to the end and you can download it for free.

If you’re ready to get serious about learning I would encourage you to also join the Hooked on Crochet Club. You’ll get access to my beginners course and have me to help you out with anything that you get stuck on.
