Cotton is one of my favourite yarns to crochet with. I thought it time that I shared the ones that I most frequently use. As with any yarn no two cottons are the same and there are many different reasons that I buy each one that I use. And there are many many more that I have yet to try too. The added bonus for all of these is that I am an online shopper so these will be available to you too.

Hobbii Yarn is the cotton that I use to fill my stash. I use the 8/4 cotton for all of my temperature blankets. They have a huge range of colours to try and their rainbow cotton is my go to.
KnitPicks have some lovely cottons too. I most frequently use their Dishie yarn as I use it for the washcloths that I make every month. They have some lovely pima cotton and other styles too.
Bendigo Woollen Mills have some really lovely cotton. I love that these come in 200g balls, which is perfect for making blankets or clothes as you don’t need to buy as many.
Paintbox Cotton is another one that I have quite a number of. It’s not my favourite cotton, but they do have a large range of colours and it is easy to work with. I find that it seems a bit thinner when compared to the same ply in another brand, but it is still a great cotton to use.
Fiddlesticks Finch is a yarn that I have falled in love with. It has the muted, earthy colours that I love and it is just pure delight to work with. It costs more than others that I use frequently, but it is definitely worth the extra dollars for those special projects.
Scheepjes Catona and Cahlista are another yarn I always tend to have on hand. They have an extensive colour range too and are very easy to work with.
There is no real reason to the order that I have listed these yarns in, I have added them as they’ve jumped to mind.
If you have a cotton that you love that you think I should try, let me know! I’m always on the lookout for more.
And if you’re wanting some insight into yarn and access to a library to choose from, then join the Hooked on Crochet Club! Every month I review a new yarn and add it to the members only library. The library is easy to search too as everything is organised by location, ply and fibre so that you can search by which ever is important to you at the time.
