Introducing the Washcloth Club

Do you love to crochet but find yourself getting stuck with the same projects all the time. You can read a pattern and love to try new stitches and stitch designs but you wish you could get more creative. Maybe you have a pattern that you enjoy making and would love to change it into something else, but it never works out right. You rarely need any help, but just wish that there was something or someone out there that had the tools that you need.

Hi! I’m that person. I have that thing that you need! And no it is not YouTube (though I do have that too!).

I’ve been thinking for a while of how I can help more people who love to crochet. I want to be able to reach each of you where you’re at and provide you with the solution that best suits your current needs. Which is why I am introducing new ways to work with me – think of them as levels of the Hooked on Crochet Club. And the first level I am introducing is the Washcloth Club.

The washcloth club is perfect for those that want to be left alone to do their own thing but would love to have something new to try out each month. And you don’t need to love washcloths to sign up! But it helps if you’re ok with creating sample pieces that can be useful and can be used as washcloths. And with Christmas coming up, it will be extra handy to have some small hand made gifts to give!

If you decide you join the Washcloth Club, then every month you’ll be sent an email with a new washcloth pattern in it. I’ll also make all of the past washcloths available over time so that you dive on in to the ones that you’re drawn to most while you wait for the new pattern to come out. You’ll be able to try out something new without the overwhelm of a big project, and if you love it you can opt to make more or maybe turn it into something else – like a blanket or article of clothing.

This is probably the point where I should jump in and let you know that I will not be adding patterns to my online stores anymore. I am even considering closing them down because the stores are not bringing me joy. The stores are so impersonal and that is not me. I get more joy from knowing that there are people in my community that are just like me and love to learn and tap into their creative side. People that are wanting to put themselves first and want to use crochet to do that.

The Washcloth Club is the first of my new offerings and the most affordable way to start out with me. It’s all online and provided over email so all you need to do is remember to check your inbox for emails from me.

And the first washcloth to be released is available from today! And all future ones will be released on the second Thursday of the month. If you’re a full member of the Hooked on Crochet Club, then nothing changes for you – the pattern is already in the clubhouse library waiting for you.

This design I’ve called Earthen Pathway. It is worked in the round and uses basic stitches to create the texture that you see. I loved creating this one as it worked up quite quickly, was calming to create and I LOVE the texture in it.

Anyone that joins the Washcloth Club this month will also receive a free copy of my Pocket Guide to Crochet Stitches.

If you’ve not purchased or seen a pattern from me before then let me share what is in every washcloth pattern:

  • Written instructions in US and UK terms
  • Intructions for how to make every single stitch
  • A picture guide so that you can compare what you’re making
  • Instructions for how you can change the design to a different size.

If you can’t read patterns yet then I won’t encourage you to join. But don’t worry I have more things coming that can help you get better at crochet and will help you learn to read patterns more quickly – just be sure to be subscribed to this blog, and even better yet be on my email list so that I can send details to you directly once they become available,

If you’re ready to join then all you need to do next is click the button below, join and wait for your first email from me which will explain everything you need to know.

I look forward to helping you get more in touch with your creative side!
