How often do you crave some solitude? Time away from the business of life to just get your head back in the game. Life can feel extremely overwhelming, especially for women who are rtying to hold it together and put on a brave front for everyone else.
If that sounds like you, then you need to make time for crochet. Make it non-negotiable. Make crochet time just for you so that you can recharge and restore your sanity so that you can continue bringing your best self forward.
That sounds like a lot from one washcloth! It doesn’t need to be this one, it can be any crochet project or activity that brings you calm. But this month’s washcloth is designed for when you want the space to create something that requires just enough attention to help you forget but keep you present.

This washcloth is worked in the rows and uses treble stitch (UK double treble) to create the design. To go with the theme of this series, this one is called Quiet Cove Retreat meaning solitude that restores rather than isolates. This one is ideal to crochet when your nervous system says “I can’t hear myself think”.
It comes with the following affirmation and journal prompts too:
Affirmation: Being alone fills me, it doesn’t empty me.
Journal Prompt: Where can I choose solitude without guilt?
I’ve Used KnitPicks Dishie cotton which is my go-to for washcloths.
If you’re wanting access to this pattern, it’s available in all levels of the Hooked on Crochet Club and as part of my Washcloth Club. The Hooked on Crochet Club gives you access to this and other projects and more every single month. The Washcloth Club will email you the washcloth pattern plus more from the archives each month.
