It’s time for another Granny Square project idea and this month we’ve got a new cowl design.
This one has been made using the Rectangle Granny Square from the Hooked on Crochet Club. I had plans to turn it into a scarf, but I didn’t have enough yarn to make it long enough. Which means if you find yourself in the same predicament, then you can try this too! But you can do this even if you have more yarn.
I’ll be showing our Clubhouse members how to make this, but you can easily design your own version. All you need to do is make and join some squares and then join one short end to long edge of the opposite long edge. Then add a border to the top and the bottom to tidy it up. Any square can be used.

I made this with a chunky yarn and 9mm hook. It’s a merino blend and I had two skeins. I used one for the squares and the second for the borders.
So what do you think?
