Oh my, we’re almost halfway through this second series of washcloths! This series is all about the borders and this one is the 5th one.
This one uses the popcorn stitch to create a contrasting feature piece in the border. If you haven’t tried the popcorn stitch before, be sure to also check out my popcorn stitch tutorial.
As with all the washcloths in this series, I have used Knit Picks Dishie and my stash is getting relatively low! I might just have to make a new purchase soon.
Now let’s have a look at this border!

The border is mostly single crochet, but we’ve added a constrasting round with pocorn and single crochet. Adding the single crochet stitches in the middle, makes the popcorn form more of a little ball than if it had double crochet next to it.
The pattern for this border is now in my store and other locations below. If you purchase from my online store or etsy, you will also receive a stitch tutorial for the popcorn stitch.
