Now this project is less than perfect, but the inspiration is still there!
I almost didn’t include this project in my blog this month, but this is a great lesson in having an idea that doesn’t quite execute as well as you would like!
So what is this month’s granny square inspiration? A book cover!

I made this for a planner that I use every single day. In hindsight, I should have chosen a different joining method so that the squares sat flatter, but I really wanted there to be minimal white between the circles. As a result, the squares aren’t sitting as nicely as I would have liked. But is still has character right?!
I’ve made this with left over 8/4 Hobbii cottons from a temperature blanket from a previous year. There are 28 squares in total to make this cover. You can of course use any square and make it to any size – it’s the inspiration that I want you to draw from, not my imperfect execution of an idea!
I will show my members exactly how I made it (and will trouble shoot where I went wrong) in our week 2 Hook and Learn Lesson in the Hooked on Crochet Club for this month. I’m sure they will do a better job of making one than I did.
