Stitches for Texture

I don’t know wbout you, but texture is one of my favourite themes to work with in the Hooked on Crochet Club, so I thought I would reshare a couple of my favourites with you!

Front and Back post double crochet. They feel awkward when you first start using them, but once you get the hang of them, and remember which one is which, they are a fun and easy way to create texture. And they’re the stitches used to create the basket weave stitch, which I’ve also included here.

Have you given these a go before? Which are your favourites?

If you’re someone that forgets the names of stitches or how to make them, then you’re also going to want to check out my Pocket Guide to Crochet Stitches! It is filled wiht helpful tutorials like these and comes in 3 different print sizes so that you can print the size that you prefer. You can check it out here.
