The Best Way to Learn to Crochet Online

Let’s face it. Many of us that love crochet are introverts. We prefer to learn alone or in small groups. We can handle being in person with others if it is in a quiet and intimate setting, but if we had it our own way, we prefer to be at home on the couch where we can watch tv and crochet the day away.

Online learning was made for those of us that are introverts! But it also has it’s challenges because not everyone learns the same way and sometimes we really need to be able to reach out to someone for some extra help. That is where the Square a Day Challenge comes in!

The Square a Day Challenge has been around for a few years now and over this time I have been tweaking the format until I have it as close to perfect as possible for us introverts that want to learn to crochet online. The format that it is in now is designed to suit introverts, it caters to all learning styles and it caters to all levels of crochet experience. So if you’re an introvert like me, love to learn online like I do and are ready to either learn crochet or take your crochet up a notch, then keep reading because the Square a Day Challenge is EXACTLY what you need.

So how does the Square a Day Challenge help you to learn to crochet online?

First, we have ALL the lessons you need in a single hub that you can access on your phone, computer or tablet. You also get access to my Stitches Crochet Beginner Course with left and right handed lessons. All tutorials have a video, written instructions and picture guides so that all learning styles are catered for. You get complete tutorials for all the stitches that you need as well as for every single square. And did I mention that we cater for left handed people too? We do! That means no googling for the next step or stitch that you need and hoping you can figure out the best one. No more saving for later and hoping that you find it again. Everything you need is in the one place ready for you to login and access it at any time from anywhere.

Second, the squares are designed to teach you something new every single day. Once you get the hand of the basics you can practice them with the square, which is a project small enough to not overwhelm, but big enough to also give you a sense of achievement. Once you master the square I provide additional ways to challenge yourself to keep on learning and creating with the square. And you can take the lessons anywhere. Waiting for kids to finish their sport practice, sitting in a waiting room or during your lunch break at work.

Third, you get access to me! I’m a crochet mentor and crochet teacher certified by the Crochet Guild of Australia and I specialise in online crochet teaching. I have a dedicated facebook group where you can post for help at any time. I’ll answer any questions you might have. Plus in the group are many other crocheters who have wisdom tha they’re happy to share, so they will likely jump in and help you too!

The challenge is designed to do at your own pace in your own time. For added accountability we have 5 days, 3 times a year where you’re encouraged to make the square and post it in the group. But if you need more time or can only make time for crochet a few days or less a week, then we have your back, because the challenge now runs 24/7 so you can jump in at any time! So again – those kids sporting practices, waiting rooms and lunch breaks are the perfect opportunity to fit the time in if you can’t make time when you’re home or you’re too tired once the day has done.

Not sure where to start? We have you covered there too. Everything is laid out with instructions and checklists, guides and patterns with all that you need.

So if you’re ready to start learning crochet online, even if you’ve tried and failed it before, it’s time to give the Square a Day Challenge a go! Join and start anytime and, if you need it, give yourself more accountability for 3 weeks of the year. You’re worth it!
