It’s time for a new washcloth!
If you love the popcorn stitch then you’re going to love this one as it has a popcorn with a twist! This one uses single crochet popcorn, which is made the same way as the popcorn you’re more familiar with, but you make single crochets instead of double crochets.
As with all my washcloths I have used KnitPicks Dishie. The photos don’t do the colour justice as it is a really dark emerald colour green in real life – kenai on the tag.

So if you’re ready, here goes!
First you’ll need to learn the single crochet popcorn – make 4 single crochets into the stitch or space indicated. Remove your hook, then insert your hook into the top of the 1st and last single crochet. Yarn over and pull through the stitches on your hook. If you prefer to use UK terms, then do the same but single crochet is a double crochet.
I used a 5mm hook and the finished dishcloth is 25cm x 25cm.
