Honey Pot Washcloth

This month our theme for the washcloth is rows, and I felt like playing around with a different stitch, so I chose the Herringbone Half Double Crochet (Herringbone Half Treble in UK terms).

This stitch takes a bit to get used to as it is very easy to skip a step and just create a normal half double crochet. But it is worth it when you get it right. I also decided to play around withe puff stitch in the border and squished them together more to achieve a different look. So it’s simple, but fun and makes a very pretty and useful washcloth.

As with all my washcloths, I used Knit Picks Dishie Yarn. And I’m loving my current stash of lovely pastel and neutral colours.

This washcloth will be sent to all of my current Hooked on Crochet Club members this weekend – if you you’re not a member yet, but are curious to know more, then be sure to head here.
