Magic Circle Tutorial

A magic circle is a technique used to begin a project that is worked in the round. I will use it for the beginning of a hat worked form the top down, bags, amigurumi and sometimes squares. If my squares are being turned into a blanket then I will almost always start with a chain turned into a ring. This is because I have had to repair a number of my blankets that I started using a magic ring as I didn’t weave in my ends too well.

Before you start playing with a magic circle, you will want to be comfortable holding your hook and yarn as it can take some getting used to!
