Well this project transformed into multiple ideas before it finally emerged as a cropped vest, and I love it!
One day I will learn that 2 skeins of yarn is not goingt o be enough for me to make a bolero. That is what I had in mind when I started out with 2 skeins of a lovely denim blue hand-dyed yarns. Maybe if I was a small child, it would work, but I am an adult now so need to consider my true size.
I was joining as I went on this one, so after realising that it wasn’t going to be enough yarn I raided my stash and found some other wool blends that matched the blue I was already using. I then made it up as I went and joined the squares to create the top of the vest and then worked in rounds to create the rest. While it wasn’t what I had started out to make, I am super pleased with the end results. I see myself wearing this over a white singlet or white collared shirt once the weather gets cooler.

What ideas does this one inspire in you? I’d love to know!
I’ll be showing the members of my Hooked on Crochet Club how I made this one next week in our weekly Hook and Learn tutorial.
