Easy Crochet Gifts That You Can Make in A Day

This post might be a bit late, but it’s better late than never right? And heck, there is still a few days left before Christmas so you still have time to make these. Or you can start early on gifts for next year instead.

Anyway, I thought I would share some ideas of projects that could be made in a day or less – which will of course be entirely dependent on your current skill set and available time. Some will be links to patterns in my store and others will be links to other blog posts with simple ideas that you can make.

They’re easy to dismiss, but washcloths are truly an easy gift to make in a day. You can pair one with some face scrubbies and have a sweet spa package to give to someone. These will suit anyone that is wanting to be more environmentally friendly and they last for ages. I made some for my secret santa gift for work this year too. I have 60+ patterns for washcloths in my online store and you can also save by purchasing a bundle. If you’re wanting to just wing it then you can easily make one in from basic stitches and just add a fancy border to make it less plain. Below are just a handful of examples to inspire you.

Bookmarks. If you have someone who loves to read, then you can’t go past a bookmark. I have lots of them! And I made one of these for my secret santa at work this year too. You can make them from granny squares or create them from working in the row. I don’t have patterns in my store for them, but we do have a couple of them inside the Hooked on Crochet Club. I’ll link the images below to blog posts or the clubhouse depending on where they are from.

Hats and beanies. In my world you can never have enough hats or beanies. Beanies aren’t ideal for an aussie Christmas, but I wouldn’t discount them. And you can easily make a hat instead.

If you’re wanting something different, then consider a wall hanging. I’ve made a number of different styles over the years and still love them all!

You can’t go past small bags or purses either. They can be perfect for giving gift cards or make for great storage pouches for charging cables and ear buds.

This should help you out if you’re needing to start making some gifts! Hopefully you don’t end up being indecisive from too many choices now.

If you’re someone that needs more support and need videos to work from, then be sure to check out the Hooked on Crochet Club. We have over 60 different projects to choose from that can be made in a day or less and all have the written pattern and detailed video to support them. You get to cancel anytime too so it might be just what you need to get you through with some gift making!
